NEW ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER IN VALENCIA

The consecration is planned to take place during mid-November this year, and the first Founding Members Meeting is Scheduled for the 14th September.

So far we have fourteen Spanish Founding Members and half-a-dozen candidates, but it would be wonderful if we had the help and expertise of English Companions to help get this Chapter up and running.

The Chapter already has many furnishings, which have been acquired at a very reasonable price, thus the founder's fee will be kept between 100 and 130 euros - provided we achieve our target of 20 founding members.

The Chapter will meet in the city of Valencia four times a year and even though the official language will be Spanish, English will most probably also be used as most of the first year's officers will be English.

SANTA FAZ CHAPTER No.26 FUN DAY

15th September 2007

On Saturday 15th September Santa Faz Chapter No 26 held a 'Fun Day' in Catral.  Ex.Comp Ron Knight and his wife Sandra opened their property for our benefit.  The day started at 2pm for visitors but as you can well imagine hours of preparation had begun days before.

About 110 people including children attended the day.  A range of games and stalls were available in the garden including 'play your cards right', 'treasure map', a plants and preserves stall and many more.

Comp Norman Glover painted a water colour during the course of the day which was auctioned and bought by Ex Comp Barrie Mansell.  The painting will now be hanging in the Lodge rooms at Quesada.  At 4pm a superb barbecue accompanied by a wide range of different plates provided by Chapter wives and friends, was held.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and funds raised totaled  1,872.00 Euros enabling the Santa Faz Chapter No 26 to clear its debt to Santa Faz Lodge No.48 who had kindly loaned an initial sum to get the Chapter started.

My thanks go to all the Chapter members who attended, to all visitors and friends and especially to Ron and Sandra Knight for their superb hospitality.

Sincerely and fraternally
Ex.Comp Rick Jones
First Principal of Santa Faz Chapter No.26
